Our approach
PlayAndPatch respects the intellectual property rights of game developers, publishers, translators, trainer authors and all other creators, and expects its users to do the same.
- PlayAndPatch is an independent community platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game developer or publisher.
- Game titles, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Game artwork is shown solely to identify the games in our catalog.
- Translations, localization patches and trainers are created by independent community authors, who are credited on the relevant pages. We host these files on our own storage or link to the places where their authors publish them.
- We don't knowingly host or link to pirated games, cracks, tools that bypass copy protection or other content distributed without the rights holder's permission.
Submitting a copyright notice
If you believe that content available on or through PlayAndPatch infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you can send us a notice:
- through the contact form, choosing the “Copyright notice” subject,
- by e-mail at support@mucahid.dev, or
- if you have an account, by opening a ticket in the Support center with the “Copyright” subject.
Notices under Turkish Law No. 5846. We handle copyright notices first and foremost under Additional Article 4 of Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works: once we receive a proper notice from the rights holder or their representative, we remove the infringing content within 3 days.
To help us process your notice quickly, please include the following. These also correspond to the elements of a notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), so the same notice can be used under the DMCA as well:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, if the notice covers multiple works, a representative list of them).
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it, including its URL on PlayAndPatch (for example, the game page and the specific translation, trainer or file).
- Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address. If you are acting on behalf of a rights holder, also the name of the rights holder you represent.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner of the right or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is generally sufficient as an electronic signature).
What happens next
- We review every notice we receive. If the notice is proper, we remove the material concerned, disable access to it or remove our link to it within 3 days of the notice.
- Where possible, we inform the author or user who provided the material and may share the notice with them. We share your contact details only to the extent necessary for them to respond or to send a counter-notice.
- If the notice is incomplete, we may ask you for more information before taking action.
Personal rights and official orders
For the content members post, we are a hosting provider within the meaning of Turkish Law No. 5651; when unlawful content is reported to us, we remove it (Law No. 5651, Art. 5). For requests other than copyright:
- Personal rights: if you believe content violates your personal rights, you can ask for its removal under Article 9 of Law No. 5651. We answer these requests within 24 hours at the latest.
- Court and administrative orders: we apply orders of courts and competent administrative authorities to remove content or block access to it within the legal deadlines.
You can send these requests through the contact form or by e-mail at support@mucahid.dev, too. Include the link (URL) to the content, which of your rights it violates and why, and contact details where we can reach you.
Counter-notice
If material you provided was removed and you believe this happened because of a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice through the same channels. Your counter-notice should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and the location (URL) where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts for your address and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
We forward valid counter-notices to the person who submitted the original notice. Unless that person informs us that they have taken legal action to stop the alleged infringement, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We remove content that is the subject of repeated valid infringement notices. In appropriate circumstances, we suspend or permanently close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others, and we stop publishing content from authors whose work is repeatedly found to infringe.
Misuse of notices
Before sending a notice, please make sure that the material really infringes your rights — for example, consider whether the use might be permitted by law. Knowingly submitting false or misleading notices or counter-notices may result in legal liability (for example, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). We may disregard notices that are clearly abusive.
