Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PlayAndPatch, available at https://playandpatch.com (the “platform”). By accessing or using the platform — including by signing up or signing in — you agree to these Terms.
Our Community Guidelines form an integral part of these Terms. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the platform.
The service
PlayAndPatch is a community-driven platform where players can find and download game translations, localization patches and trainers, and track their compatibility with game versions. The platform is currently provided free of charge. Among other things, you can:
- browse the game catalog, including supported game versions, translation and trainer versions, update history and compatibility status;
- download files or follow links to the sources where they are published;
- create community requests, vote on requests and follow games;
- receive in-app notifications about the games you follow;
- read, listen to and comment on game news;
- start forum topics, comment on topics and like comments;
- have a public or private profile, make game tier lists and comment on other members' profiles;
- start a group sharing your PlayStation account and its games in PS Digital Share, ask to join the open rights of other groups and review the other side after a hand-over;
- post feature requests, bug reports and other ideas on the Ideas and bugs board and vote on them, and open a private support ticket with the team in the Support center.
We may add, change or remove features at any time. We may temporarily take the platform offline for maintenance (maintenance mode). We don't guarantee that the platform or any content will always be available.
Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old to use the platform with an account. On the sign-up form, you confirm that you are at least 15 and accept these Terms by ticking a required checkbox. When you sign up with Google or Discord, the same statement is shown next to those buttons, and by continuing with one of them you make the same statement. If you are under 18, please read these Terms together with a parent or legal guardian.
If your account has been suspended or terminated, you may not create a new account to get around that decision.
Accounts and security
- You sign up and sign in with your e-mail address and a password, or with your Google or Discord account. When signing up, you must use an accurate e-mail address and must not open an account with someone else's address. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and the account you sign in with secure.
- When you sign up with e-mail and password, we send a confirmation link to your address; you can't sign in with e-mail and password until you confirm your address with it. If you forget your password, we send you a reset link, and when your password changes, a security notice.
- If someone tries to sign up with an address that already has an account, no new account is created; the address's owner gets an e-mail saying that the address already has an account, with links to sign in and to reset the password.
- If someone signs in with Google or Discord using the same address before it is confirmed, the address counts as verified and, for security, the password on that account is reset.
- Each person may use only one account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password (or secure your Google or Discord account) and contact us.
- Your display name and username may be shown publicly on your profile, comments, requests and posts. They and the "About me" text on your profile must not impersonate anyone else and must not be offensive or misleading. You can change them, and whether your profile is public or private, in your profile settings. We may change a username we believe is used to impersonate someone.
- The level and title on your profile (for example "Knight") are calculated automatically from your activity on the site; they have no monetary value, can't be sold or transferred, and we may change how they are calculated. Raising your level through artificial activity (for example fake accounts or automated votes) violates these Terms.
- The administrator account is reserved for the operators of the platform.
- You can delete your account at any time in your profile settings.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the platform lawfully and in line with our Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:
- harass, threaten or insult others, or post hateful, discriminatory, obscene or illegal content;
- post spam, advertising or misleading content;
- manipulate votes or rankings, for example by using multiple accounts, bots or coordinated fake activity;
- create requests for games that don't exist, or for pirated games, cracks, tools that bypass copy protection or the unauthorised distribution of paid content;
- upload, link to or distribute malware or any file designed to harm devices or data;
- infringe the intellectual property or other rights of others, or remove or alter the credits of authors;
- use trainers in online or multiplayer games, or in any way that breaks the rules of a game or platform;
- interfere with the platform — for example, by trying to circumvent rate limits or security measures, scanning for vulnerabilities without permission or overloading the platform through automated means;
- impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with them.
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to us through the contact page instead of exploiting it.
Your content
“User content” means the requests and their descriptions, forum topics, comments in the forum and on news posts, profile comments, tier lists, PS Share groups, room messages and reviews, ideas and bug reports, support ticket messages, display name, username, "About me" text and similar content you submit to the platform.
- You are responsible for your user content. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it complies with these Terms.
- By submitting user content, you grant PlayAndPatch a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and adapt it (for example, to format it or merge it with similar requests), solely for the purpose of operating, providing and improving the platform.
- This licence lasts for as long as the content remains on the platform. This includes requests, forum topics and ideas or bug reports that remain anonymously after you delete your account, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Profile comments are not shown to others on your profile until you approve them. You are also responsible for the comments you approve; you can delete an inappropriate comment at any time.
- Game titles and cover images shown in tier lists belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify the games.
- Automatic checks. Forum topics and comments, PS Share groups and reviews, ideas and bug reports, and tier lists are checked automatically by AI against our rules before they become public (your name and e-mail address aren't used for this check). A text the check rejects isn't published, and you're told why. When the check can't run, forum posts are published once our team approves them; ideas, bug reports and tier lists stay visible only to you and our team until a moderator decides; and PS Share groups and reviews are published and reviewed by our team.
- We may edit, hide or remove user content that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or that we otherwise consider inappropriate for the platform.
- Apart from the automatic check, we don't review user content in advance; as a hosting provider, we are not obliged to monitor it and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for it. When unlawful content is reported to us, we remove it as described in “Reporting unlawful content and removal” below.
Ideas, bug reports and support
- Feature requests, bug reports and other ideas you post on the Ideas and bugs board are public, together with your display name, once they pass the automatic check before publishing (see “Your content”). We decide whether to build an idea; using your idea gives you no right, payment or notice obligation. We may merge, edit or close similar posts.
- Don't post a security vulnerability publicly in a bug report; open a private support ticket instead.
- Support tickets are visible only to you and the support team. We try to answer within a reasonable time but don't guarantee a response time or outcome. Never share passwords or payment details in a ticket.
Downloads and third-party content
The translations, patches and trainers on the platform are created by independent community authors — not by PlayAndPatch or the game developers. We either host these files on our own storage or link to the place where their authors publish them.
- Files and third-party content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty that they are error-free, complete, safe, compatible with your game version or fit for a particular purpose. Compatibility information is provided in good faith and may be incomplete or out of date.
- Files that approved uploaders publish can't be downloaded until the virus scan (VirusTotal) has finished. A file with detections, a file that can't be scanned and an external link wait until our team reviews them. The scan doesn't guarantee that a file is safe.
- You download, install and use files at your own risk. Always back up your game files and saves before installing anything, and follow the installation instructions.
- Trainers are intended only for single-player or offline use. Using them in online or multiplayer modes may violate the game's rules and get your account banned; you alone are responsible for such use.
- Because of the way they work, trainers are sometimes flagged as suspicious by antivirus software (false positives). If you are unsure, don't run the file and contact us.
- External links lead to websites we don't control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
- Modifying a game may be restricted by its end-user licence agreement (EULA). It is your responsibility to check that your use complies with it.
Intellectual property
- The platform's own design, software, texts and logo belong to PlayAndPatch or its licensors and may not be copied or used without permission, except where the law allows.
- Translations and trainers remain the work of their authors, who are credited on the relevant pages.
- PlayAndPatch is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game developer or publisher. Game titles, logos, artwork and other trademarks belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification purposes only.
- If you believe that content on the platform infringes your rights, see our Copyright & DMCA page and “Reporting unlawful content and removal” below.
Reporting unlawful content and removal
For the content members post, we are a hosting provider within the meaning of Turkish Law No. 5651: we are not obliged to check this content in advance, but when unlawful content is reported to us, we remove it (Law No. 5651, Art. 5). In addition:
- Copyright notices: we handle notices under Additional Article 4 of Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works and remove infringing content within 3 days of receiving a proper notice. What a notice should contain and how to object to a removal are explained on our Copyright & DMCA page.
- Personal rights: we answer requests from people whose personal rights have been violated by content (Law No. 5651, Art. 9) within 24 hours at the latest.
- Court and administrative orders: we apply orders of courts and competent administrative authorities to remove content or block access to it within the legal deadlines.
How to send a notice: contact us through the contact form (for copyright, choose the “Copyright notice” subject) or by e-mail at support@mucahid.dev; if you have an account, you can also open a ticket in the Support center. Include the link (URL) to the content concerned, why you believe it is unlawful and contact details where we can reach you.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the platform and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. We don't warrant that the platform will be error-free, secure or free of viruses, or that defects will be corrected.
Some of our news stories are written with the help of AI from facts gathered from official sources and other outlets' reports, and are checked by an editor or an AI editor before publishing; each story says who checked it. Even so, stories may contain mistakes. Stories labelled "Rumor" report unconfirmed claims, attributed to their sources, and should not be taken as fact. Prices and dates can change; check the store before you buy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlayAndPatch and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, saves, game files or accounts, including:
- damage to your game installation, saves or device caused by files obtained through the platform;
- bans, suspensions or other measures taken by game developers, publishers or gaming platforms, in particular as a result of using trainers;
- loss of data or game progress;
- the content, availability or practices of third-party websites and services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence.
Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the platform and delete your account at any time.
- If you violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect the platform, its users or third parties, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account, with or without prior notice. Where appropriate, we'll tell you why. If your account has been suspended, you can contact us to ask for the decision to be reviewed.
- We may discontinue the platform in whole or in part. If we do, we'll try to give reasonable advance notice.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — remain in effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when the platform or the law changes. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we may also notify you through a notice on the site or an in-app notification.
If you continue to use the platform after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you can stop using the platform and delete your account.
Governing law and general provisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, including any right to bring proceedings before the courts of your country.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a right does not mean that we waive it. These Terms, together with the documents they refer to, constitute the entire agreement between you and PlayAndPatch regarding the use of the platform.
